The China Meteorological Administration recently announced that according to 42 weather stations set up across the country, China saw extremely low air temperatures nationwide during the end of January. Beijing's air temperature has been lower than in previous years as well. Experts say that this is due to the “La Niña effect” and the frigid Artic air current pushing southward, and that it's expected that colder-than-usual weather will continue across China in the near future.
