These are the rules and regulations:
1. You should be able to eat 6 frogs a day
2. You should have completed a marathon without drinking a drop of water
3. You must be atleast 6 ft tall
4. You should be able to drink water with your ears

Cutting the crap, how did you even expect that you can get visa information over here? Just search for chinese embassy in sri lanka (Every country's embassies have different rules) and you should be able to find a link related to the visa requirements

Read the bloody laws. No laowai on chinese tours. Seriously. These articles have gone from the sublime to completely useless misinformation.

Most domestic tours give a good coverage of the region for a first timetrip there. Usually the first morning of the tour had the Chinese participants wondering if the foreigner would be in the way. But seeing the foreigner on time at the end of the first stop changed their attitude. I enjoyed taking the train instead of taking the plane as I always found interesting passengers that wanted to learn something about America. Being an accounting professor, we often talked about commerce and what they were engaged in. Many my questions about Chinese business practices brought a reply that the foreign company did not describe what they wanted. I took only one individual trip, which was setup to not be completed. The train exchange to bus from Nanjing to Chongching did not give enough time to make the taxi trip t the bus station. I talked with a young military female in English and the next to last stop at the exchange she got off the train. She talked in Chinese woman just before her stop. The women said in Chinese, "I am going to Chongching." I said to the woman, "Wo qhu Chongching." She motioned for me to go with her. A police car met us at the station and spead to the bus terminal just in time. The travel agent in Chongching did not know I was coming, but arranged the river voyage.
In Wohan the hotel was not reserved, but I received a room for 90 yuan and the 28 yuan bus ride was quickly paid at 42 yuan by the original tour company. It took three tries to get my over payment and was completed by talking with another agent in German for a half hour..
