There are about 1,800 buses running on the streets of Fuzhou. Some of the fleet was replaced in 2006 with ''pollution free'' buses. From October 16th to May 14th the buses charge a flat fee of RMB1 for any journey, but this rises to RMB2 from May 15th to October 15th when air conditioned buses are rolled out. Visitors should ensure they have change ready before boarding. The lines are identified either by name or by number.
