Fuzhou Airport’s new winter schedule will be implemented on October 30th. The number of weekly departures and arrivals will be increased to 680 flights and daily departures and arrivals will be increased from 112 to 194 flights. The winter schedule will remain in effect until March 26th, 2012. Many airlines will open domestic new flight routes:
- Tianjin Airlines will have a Tianjin-Qingdao-Fuzhou flight every day except Wednesday
- Capital Airlines will have a Xi’an-Nanchang-Fuzhou flight daily
- Western Airlines will have a Fuzhou-Guilin-Chongqing flight daily
- Eastern Airlines will have a Fuzhou-Wuhan-Yuncheng flight every Monday, Thursday and Saturday
- Shandong Airlines will have a Fuzhou-Haikou flight daily
- Xiamen Airlines will have Fuzhou-Lanzhou every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday
Many airlines are also adding more flights to existing major domestic destinations:
- Xiamen Airlines will add an additional flight each day for the Fuzhou-Chengdu and Fuzhou-Shanghai Hongqiao routes
- Eastern Airlines will add an additional flight each day for the Fuzhou -Shanghai Hongqiao route
- Shandong Airlines will add an additional flight each day for the Fuzhou-Jinan route
- Juneyao Airlines will turn the Fuzhou-Shanghai Pudong route into a daily flight
As for international flight routes, starting on December 8th, Korean Airlines will debut a Fuzhou-Seoul flight twice a week, which is expected to become a scheduled flight next year.
