The bus fare is a flat RMB 1 for non-air-conditioned buses (older) and RMB 2 for air-conditioned buses. General operational hours are 6:00 am to 9:00 pm. Visitors are advised that during rush hours, buses are crowded and passengers should be alert for pickpockets. Currently, there are about 570 bus routes in Guangzhou; among them 14 are trolley buses (bus number 101-114) and 18 mini-buses (prefixed 8). There are also 45 night buses that run till 1.30 am, but expect a price increase to RMB 1.5 for non-a/c bus and RMB 3 for a/c bus.
