According to the China Tourism Academy's National Tourist Satisfaction Survey annual report, Guilin was ranked seventh best tourist city in China for 2011, up 21 spots compared to 2010. The China Tourism Academy's National Tourist Satisfaction Survey uses a sample size of 50 Chinese cities, and is considered China’s most representative and authoritative travel survey.
