Fireworks to Light up Kunming’s Skies on New Year’s Eve

For the eighth straight year, Kunming will hold a large fireworks display on the eve of Chinese New Year (January 22nd). Visitors can watch the show from two key places: from Kunming Stadium (昆明市体育场) and from Chuncheng Park (春城公园), in Chenggong New Area. The show is scheduled to take place from 23:40 to 00:20 – a total of 40 minutes. 

This year’s fireworks are expected to reach a height of 280 metres, so if you can’t make it to Chincheng Park of Kunming Stadium but are in a high building in the area, you should be able to get a good view of the display.
