The city of Ningbo is not yet a hub for transportation in the Yangtze River Delta, but the city is determined that by 2012, it will be and has poured a great deal of money into infrastructure to ensure their vision is realized. The city's airport has limited international flights and many services across China, many of which destinations can also be reached by rail and long-distance bus. Trips to Shanghai are very popular with Ningbo's residents, so the city is particularly well served.
