The Grape Wine Museum in Shibei District (市北区葡萄酒博物馆) and the Jiaozhou Shaohai Cultural Leisure Tourism Scenic Area (胶州少海风景区) were classified as national 4A scenic spots by the National Tourist Attraction Quality Evaluation Committee on December 13th. In addition, Luotuoxiangzi Museum and Firewood Court in Shinan District (市南区骆驼祥子博物馆和劈柴院) and the Folk Custom Hall in Sifang District (四方区民俗馆) were classified as national 3A scenic spots. Qingdao now has 66 total "A-class" tourist attractions – one 5A, eighteen 4A, thirty 3A, fifteen 2A and two 1A.

Wow! It's good to hear that the Jiaozhou Shaohai Cultural Leisure Tourism Scenic Area (胶州少海风景区) was graded 4A by the National Tourist Attraction Quality Evaluation Committee. I've been to that place several times and I must say, it's indeed an ideal place for sightseeing, kayaking or strolling around it's vast beautiful landscape. The place is not yet 100% complete. They're still constructing lots of recreational and residential western type buildings such as villas. It's about 45 mins. to 1 hour away from the city proper.
