Prices for trips to China's major tourist spots are tumbling, as the country's off-peak tourist season begins. To illustrate this, five day (four nights) trips from Shanghai to the notoriously expensive Sanya now only cost approximately 1200 RMB per person; a three day trip to the Yellow Mountains currently costs under 500 RMB; and packages to Xiamen, Lijiang and other tourist hot spots are now discounted by as much as 50%.
Those interested in taking advantage of these bargain prices can check out springtour.com, who are currently promoting three-day, two night tours to the Yellow Mountains for under 500 RMB, as well as four to five day group train tours starting from 630 RMB. The best bargains however, are for those with independent means of transport to the Yellow Mountains, who can snatch up two nights in a five-star hotel, together with the entrance fee to the Yellow Mountains for only 399 RMB.
No matter where you decide to go or how you plan to get there, if you've been itching to get out of the city, now is the best time to do so!
