The bus network in Shenyang has 3000 buses in operation over 140 lines, covering most of the major sites in the city. Most routes in the city cost RMB 1, and unlike many Chinese cities, Shenyang has not introduced a travel card, so visitors should be sure to carry small change for their tickets. Buses are frequent and reliable during normal working hours, but do not run at night, when visitors rely on taxis.
