The Shenyang Subway Line 2 is scheduled to begin its trial operations on December 30th. To promote the new Subway Line, locals are being given the opportunity to "ride for free" until January 8th. Free ride tickets will be distributed through various news media, enterprises and work units. The ten-day free ride period is from December 30th to January 8th, 2012. Specific times are as follows:
December 30th - 13:00-16:00
December 31st to January 3rd -09:00-12:00 and 13:00-16:00
January 3-8th - 06:00-12:00, 13:00-18:00
The Shenyang Subway Line 2 will officially open on January 9th. The ticket fare price will be based on the number of stops. Eight or fewer stops costs 2RMB; 9-12 stops costs 3 RMB and 13 or more stops costs 4RMB.
